Fire Rated Laminated Glass

With the Fourth Revision of Singapore Standard CP 2, re-numbered as SS550: 2009 (formerly CP 2), we have successfully developed a fire resistance German Swiss glass that is applicable for lift landing doors.

Research and development including fire and weather tests have been carried out for this glass which is in compliance with the HDB specification and SS550: 2009 and SS341.

Fire and impact tests have been conducted at PSB laboratories.

Glass performance and findings:

• Glass turning fully opaque (white) when heated
• Able to withstand fire with temperature of 1000 Degree Celsius
• Achieve 1 hr fire rating
• Achieve 30 mins thermal insulation
• Glass in full compliance with SS550 : 2009, SS341 Grade A and BS6206 Class A
